Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Steinar Tanaka (“we”, “us”) about your use of TallyWeek. By creating an account or using TallyWeek, you agree to them. If you use TallyWeek for a business, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

What TallyWeek does

TallyWeek connects to your bookkeeping software with read-only access, calculates figures from your records, and sends you a weekly summary and occasional alerts. It never creates, changes or deletes anything in your bookkeeping software, and it never contacts your clients or vendors.

Not financial, tax or legal advice

TallyWeek is an information tool. Its summaries and alerts describe your own records; they aren't accounting, tax, legal or investment advice, and they don't replace a qualified professional. You're responsible for the decisions you make.

Accuracy

Every figure is calculated from the data in your connected books, so it's only as complete and accurate as those records. Summary sentences may be written with the help of an AI model; each number in them is checked against our calculations, and any sentence that fails is replaced with standard wording. Even so, please check anything important against your books before you act on it.

Your account

Acceptable use

Don't misuse TallyWeek. For example, don't try to access other people's data, probe or overload our systems, get around security limits, reverse-engineer the service, or use it for anything unlawful.

Your data

Your data stays yours. You give us permission to process it only to provide TallyWeek to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect your books or delete your account at any time.

Third-party services

TallyWeek depends on services we don't control, such as QuickBooks Online. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we're not responsible if they change, become unavailable, or limit access.

Fees

TallyWeek is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the price in advance, and you won't be charged unless you choose a paid plan.

Changes and availability

We may update TallyWeek or these terms. If we make a material change to the terms, we'll let you know in advance, by email or in the app. We aim to keep TallyWeek running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.

Ending your use

You can stop using TallyWeek and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first.

Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, TallyWeek is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost data), and our total liability for any claim about TallyWeek is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of The State of Colorado, United States.
